GANT participates in several membership programs related to sustainability. Information about each membership can be found in this section. We continuously look for new partnerships to ensure our business is as sustainable as possible.
UN Global Compact
In 2019 we signed the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. It calls for companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
BSCI
RISE
RISE is Sweden’s research institute and innovation partner. GANT is a member of the Swedish Chemicals Group where the latest knowledge in chemical and environmental issues is spread to member companies in the textile and electronics industry.
SAC Higgs Index
The Higg Index is a suite of tools that enables brands, retailers, and facilities of all sizes to accurately measure and score the sustainability performance of a company or product at every stage of their sustainability journey.
Textile Exchange
Fashion Pact
The Fashion Pact was established during the 2019 G7 Summit. Signatories commit to joining forces with other leading fashion companies to take action within three main areas: climate, biodiversity and oceans. GANT is among the 250 brands represented.
Water Aid
Since 1981, WaterAid has reached millions to secure clean water, decent toilets, and good hygiene. Our partnership started in 2020 with various activations that coincide with GANT's sustainability pillars, including the 7 Rules by GANT.
LWG
GANT is committed to supporting sustainable leathermanufacturing, which is why we are proud members of the Leather Working Group. LWG-certified tanneries responsibly manage and use resources and work toreduce their emissions to the environment.
